Dheeraj’s Answer

Hi Milton,

Being an architect in Network Industry requires knowledge of the technology and the products involved.

CCDA is the first book one should refer to as it takes a different approach where it will ask how you will design a network based on specific requirements form the customer. During the role, you are always aligned to either a specific customer or specific technology domain. If you are an expert in any specific technology, then you may have to create a standard configuration that could be required in the customer setup. Else, you can also help in identifying which devices can be placed at what location to fulfill the requirements.

It is also best to start with the role of identifying a few platforms

Hi Milton,

I hope you are doing well!

First & foremost get a degree with a good grade, this will help in getting your profile looked by great companies.

If you want to presume your career in Networking Industry & to become an architect it requires a lot of expertise & for that, you need to gain experience in various technologies

As an entry, you can start with any vendor certification with routing & switching. Also, try to get into the company where your career aspirations match.

Once you are in Job for a year or two with the right mindset guided by good people, then you will get a clear idea of whats your next step would be for becoming an architect.

Last but not least is that if you want to be a hardcore architect/techie, try to learn one new thing every day. Trust me, this will make you different from others on the long run.

Keep exploring !!
