Rebecca’s Answer

Before you start your own business, you have to ensure you have the adequate knowledge & experience on Tech Support & Repair business. Firstly, you may need to have complete the relevant courses in School & University. At the same time, you can work as a part time or full time (after your graduation) to gain the experience. This can help you to understand how the industry work.
You can then consider your business online first before you have a physical shop since the cost is lower.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Nilay’s Answer

I would suggest to gain some experience by working for some company in the same area. That way you will know what all it takes to start the business. Without in-depth knowledge it might be risky.

Cheryl’s Answer

Start small with what you are good at and people you know. For instance are you good configuring a computer or adding parts or peripherals and work with family. The word will get out and spread, to friends, more family and neighbors. Word of mouth is always a good way to spread the word. You can also put up flyers in your common area (club house, mailbox, central gathering place). I would be happy to have a more in-depth conversation to tailor it more specific on your business and how to get started.

I agree with Rebeccas's answer, ensuring you have enoguh research done and knowledge is essential. You will also have to remember that it does not need to take off straight away, and may take time to become as successful as you hope. Best of luck :) !

Daniel’s Answer

Hello Andrew,

That is awesome that you are looking to start your own tech support and repair business. As others have stated, start small. You can start by positioning and offering your services to friends and family and start to develop more clients that way. It would also help if you have a schooling background and experience in this field.

Best of luck!

Jose F.’s Answer

Despite the fact that knowledge is one of the most important factors, people tend to fail in the construction of a business because most of the people create a business that will depend on their capabilities and control, yes you need to know about the field of the business but most importantly is keep in mind that if businesses were about Knowledge academics would be rich, what matters the most is connecting the needs with the solutions, find the people to run the operation and you just make sure you close the deals, dedicating a lot of time to develop the business not the operation.

Still Would advice you to learn as much as as you can about it.
