Always give yourself a chance. Even if no one else will. Let your purpose manifest itself and for it to do so, all you need to do is to take life a day at a time. Very few had any hope or belief in me when I was growing up and I also questioned what the point of my life was. But I chose not to give up on myself and approached my life as it was and not as I wanted to be. Over time, I realized that I had the ability to help others. I discovered my purpose through helping others discover theirs.
I wish you the very best in life. You can get a job to help with college and also know that you can continue to learn throughout life. Allow yourself to begin the journey and you'll look back one day and be proud of yourself. Trust me.

Thabo, I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling like you've lost all hope. I'm not from South Africa so I don't know how to answer your question about school fees and working as a high school student. Maybe one of our professionals who is more knowledgeable about your circumstances will be able to offer some advice. But I did want to say that if you've lost all hope in living PLEASE, PLEASE let a responsible adult who you trust know this fact. Perhaps this might be a teacher, a nurse at your local clinic or a clergy person. I don't know you but I very much care about you and want you to continue to live and thrive. I'm sure all the professionals and educators who volunteer on this site feel the same way. You are valuable and your life has meaning.
Here are a list of 24-hour free hotlines you can call in South Africa if you are feeling like you might hurt yourself:

Hi, do you encounter any financial problem or you would like to live independently? Have you discussed this with your parents?
Firstly, have you explored any financial aid or scholarship available? If yes, do you have a chance to check whether you are eligible.
On the other hand, you can also look for some part time job on the spare time. However, please ensure the job nature is suitable and it is safe. Your priority is still your study. You can try to find job part time job that suits your school & revision schedule. You can seek your parents or teacher assistance all the time.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
