You will need to go to college no matter what. You will need Psychology classes and a master degree in most cases for school counselor. Once you get the Psychology degree and all the pre educational courses its after that you choose electives, like the type of Psychology you want to major in. Like clinical, forensic, MFT, and so on. You must at min. have a bachelors degree to get a well paying job to substain you while working toward the masters or whatever you decided to take. Thank you for the questions. The best of luck, in what ever career choice that you make.

It is amazing to see someone as young as you have a clear mind on what you want to do. Most of the counselors I know have gone through the proper college. Psychology is a field that you should be focusing on . You must at minimum have a bachelor's degree to get a decent job as a career counselor. A great starting point will be to get in touch with the Career Counselor in your school and get to know her story/experience. He/She will give you the perspective that most of the folks in this platform cannot give. All the best with what ever career you choose.
