Helpdesk --> Sysadmin --> Networking --> Cybersecurity.
If you can skip Helpdesk, then GREAT! Do it!
If you can work at an MSP for 1-2 years, all the better.
If you can skip a SOC role for your entry Cybersecurity role, all the better.
Get that first IT job, no matter what it is.
Get that first Sysadmin role.
Get that first Network role.
Start trying to leverage your experience into a Cybersecurity role. Get creative! Cybersecurity is vast!

Let me be blunt with you.
Most cyber security companies want four year degree in computer science.
I would recommend finish undergraduate degree and seek internship in cybersecurity firms if you can now.

There are really many ways but I would suggest below:
1. Increase your technology understanding across the 7 layers of Network
2. If you have good hands on development experience, do some Pen Test trainings and make sure to play around in legal space
3. Keep yourself abreast of technology and security developments
4. Internship if you can get in security would be good otherwise get a internship in your chosen field in Computer science, there is almost always a security paradigm associated with technology/ computer science.
5. AS you grow in your chosen technology, keep looking for security related opportunities.
In reality, I have seen many people get a lateral entry in cybersecurity after they have learned one or the other technology domains such software development, DBs, Infrastructure, Technology Architecture etc.
Reach out on Linkedin to me if you feel like.

Cyber Security is a rapidly growing field, so there will be a need for your skills. I suggest working with your college career department to get connected with some alumni in Cyber Security to build your network and learn about specific career paths alumni have taken within Cyber Security and what might interest you. You can also join LinkedIn groups that are discussing the topics most relevant to you and engage there, or participate in local groups like Tech meetups where you can network with professionals in your area. Most importantly, try and get some experience- if that is an internship or part time job that hands on experience will be the most beneficial in allowing you to get other roles, and better understand the industry. Good luck!

Cybersecurity is a very broad field and there are so many domains to immerse yourself into. The best way is the path you take on your own and it is good to learn generalist knowledge from different domains like networks, secure software development, identity and access, digital forensics, etc. You can try your hands on different domains and as you move forward, you will have a feel of which one you intend to specialize on. One of the key things is you have to be willing to unlearn what you have learned. That will allow you not to carry on baggage and/or biases from the previous knowledge you already know since cybersecurity is a very dynamic field.
All the best.

Look for internships in the cyber security space to get more hands on exposure. It will allow you to get familiar with the various technical domains and guide you to where you find fit, passion, and a desire to grow. For my company, we haven't announced internships for the remainder of the 2021 timeframe but I anticipate we'll be back to normal in 2022. We usually have around 2-3 internship opportunities per year.

Additionally, join security professional organizations to network with other professionals in the space. There's a good chance you get leads and insights to opportunities in your community.
Lastly, feel free to connect with me via LinkedIn. Always glad to help and mentor those starting off in their careers.
