Hi Jaydin,
To be an engineer, the first thing you need to take would be an engineer education background, since the engineering really has a high threshold among all career.
After you graduate and get an engineer degree, the next thing is keep learning for the rest of your life.
As a computer engineer, you will have to learn C/C++, Verilog , Assembly , SQL as your basic knowledge, and during your career path, you will learn python, VB, java ect. And as time goes by there would be uncountable language comes out and you should get prepared to learn all of them depends on the job you taking; otherwise, the new graduates would take your place since they just learn the fresh knowledge of the latest coding skills from school.

Hi Jaydin,
First things first, you have to study and perform well in your academics. Coding is the key for most computer engineering jobs, so I would suggest getting familiarized with one or two programming languages like Python, Java, C++ and trying to solve as many problems as you can.
The engineering field requires constant learning and keeping yourself up to date with the latest technologies which would be the toughest thing.
Good Luck!!

The hardest thing is definitely having the discipline to teach yourself the code because you cannot learn it all in school.
