Hi!

I think you can definitely make a living as a streamer! I have a friend who have done the same thing because of his interest in gaming! A lot goes into this as you will need equipments and a good marketing/editing skills or a person that can do that for you! It would definitely be harder to start off with this, as there is many people out their who wants to make this as their living, but you should start small and build your platform as you go!

Best,
Gigi

Hi, you’re young and this is the market for you. However, you have to be careful. In order to make a livable wage, you have to understand the insides and outsides of the professional world.

As a person who worked as a social media analyst for a company, there’s a few important aspects you need to understand prior to trying to make any money from streaming: It is harder for micro influencers to make money from YouTube directly. The majority will be from collabs or paid promotions. Therefore you must understand 1. Your analytics. This includes your average number of views, engagements, times and dates when you have the most engagement and what type of videos garner the most traffics. As well as what’s your demographic and where they’re from. 2. Based off this, what type of videos will you do and when? Are there certain events or products around what you’re streaming? If so, are there particular brands you want to work with? 3. Research the companies you want to collaborate with and what their pay rate it. You can also search and find out what some of the bigger YouTubers make. 4. You have to build a media kit. With the information you’ve compiled you want to build a simple form with what types of videos you do, your audience and how much you want to get paid. You will calculate that based on what you discovered in your research. 5. Believe in yourself and have a backup plan always. No matter how glamorous it looks, it’s hard work. And you will be disappointed and discouraged. Don’t quit but if you ever want to, have something to fall back on.

Surprisingly, there's a method to the madness in every aspect. Master the field from top to bottom! Once you've done that, begin creating your content and stick with it! Numerous accomplished creators produced videos for years before gaining any acknowledgment. I would also suggest knowing, inside and out, how the Youtube algorithm works. Particularly, know how it promotes channels (likes, comment engagement, super chats, etc) and, importantly, what gets channels flagged, suspended, or banned.
