David’s Answer

In the beginning you will make minimum wage. After that it depends on you: how much you put into it, if you further your education. If you are passionate and driven the money will come. If you are just doing this for the pay check find something you are passionate about and would consider doing for free.

Seth’s Answer

According to Zip Recruiter, a baker can expect to earn between $25,000 - $32,000 per year. Below is a link that show's the average annual salary by state.

However, this can vary depending on what bakery you work for. Work for a high end restaurant would likely pay higher wages than a small mom and pop bakery.

If owning your own bakery is something you have aspirations to achieve, then your salary prospects can increase quite a bit. According the Zip Recruiter, the national average salary for an owner of bakery is $70,000 per year. As a small business owner you will certainly take on more risk and responsibility, but with the opportunity for greater returns. See the link below for a bakery owner salary.

I hope this helps to consider all of the options available to someone who chooses that career path.

Good Luck!
