Many 4 year colleges and even 2 year colleges offer programs to get your bachelor's or associate's degree in dental hygiene. If you want to be a dental hygienist, I recommend you directly major in that subject after high school!

Hello Alabama;

For Dental Hygienist you will only need a two year Associates Degree, there are specialty technical schools, those will specialized in advanced technical schooling.... that comes with a cost...

Focus on the Associates Degree- a two year commitment, this will generate cash flow for your continuing classes to become a Dentist...

Best wishes- Merry Christmas

Hey there! As Jacky mentioned above, I believe anything biology-related or chemistry-related majors, such as biological sciences, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, would be good! I do not believe there are any restrictions as to what major you must have when applying to dental jobs. However, I always recommend majoring in things you are interested in instead!!
