Hi Jennifer!
First place I'd start is with your guidance counselor or mentor or teacher at your school. A lot of times, they have a network of individuals you are able to contact depending on what field you are hoping to move into. Also talk to your friends, friends parents, family members - they may know of some opportunities too.
If you know what field of study/program/industry you are wanting to move into, get on Indeed/CareerBuilder/Monster (any job board site) and search for 'Intern OR internship' within your respective field and location. You will find a lot of companies post their open internships on these sites as well.
Good luck!!

Hi Jennifer!
I would suggest connecting with recruiters or human resources departments for companies in industries that you're interested in, and ask them if they offer internships.
You could do a job search for fields you are interested in via indeed (for example) and contact the company regarding opportunities.
Networking, attending career fairs, and identifying potential employers through classified ads or the local Chamber of Commerce.
Be aware that certain industries and internships have early application deadlines. Some companies may recruit and hire as early as November for a summer internship. Beginning your internship search during winter break affords you additional lead time before the summer months. It can also give you the opportunity to make valuable connections with alumni or professionals within organizations of interest prior to returning to school. Check with your college's Career Services Office for assistance in finding out which internships recruit early.

Who do I reach out to or contact to try and find internships?
First determine what field/company/industry you would like to intern in. Then search online for emails and contact numbers for these companies human resource or career development departments.
Also, if you know a person in an industry that you would be interested in working in, contact them directly.
Try contacting college/university departments directly. They may be able to provide you with a list of available internships.
