Ryan’s Answer
The Ancient Greek Aphorism “Know Thyself” is Literally The Key to a Meaningful Life
I have gone through a myriad of tests and surveys to discover or shed light on this question.
First, here are some tests (including some fun ones):
- Ikigai
- Myers Briggs - Personality Test
- Keirsey Temperament Sorter personalities
- IQ
- EQ Daniel Goleman’s model of emotional intelligence includes five realms.
- Psychological Archetype - character model (Jungian)
- Human Design
- Enneagram
- Zodiac & Natal Chart
- Spirit Animal
- Spiritual Archetype
- Religious Typology Quiz
Second, the combination of all these tests can certainly help gain insight into yourself, your skills, and your passions but there's no shortcut to finding out without practical application... you must be in the world and test, try, fail, and repeat.
Here are some practical guidelines to assess your skills and passions:
1. Self-reflection: Take some time to think about what activities you enjoy doing and what skills you have. Write down a list of your hobbies, interests, and skills. Then, think about how you could combine these to create a career or business.
2. Online assessments: There are many online assessments you can take to help you identify your skills and passions. These assessments may ask questions about your personality, interests, and skills to provide you with a list of potential careers or business ideas.
3. Talk to others: Talk to family, friends, and mentors to get their input on what they think your skills and passions are. Sometimes, others can see things in us that we can't see ourselves.
4. Try new things: Trying new things can help you discover skills and passions you didn't know you had. Take classes or workshops in subjects that interest you or try a new hobby. You may discover a hidden talent or passion.
5. Keep a journal: Keep a journal of your experiences and reflections. This can help you identify patterns in what you enjoy and what you're good at.
Remember, assessing your skills and passions is an ongoing process. It's important to regularly reassess and adjust your goals as your skills and passions evolve over time.

Hi,
(This is a group answer) Start by doing something you enjoy, for example a sport or creative activities like art, drawing. It is a way to use your skills and also your passion. Or in case you have something you like or enjoy try to go this path and test things that involve things with these topics, or if you don’t know exactly what you like try to do new things and see if you think it was nice, fun or boring so you can begin to understand what you like most.
Be curious, try to expose yourself to different things you maybe wouldn’t do, to step a little bit out of your comfort zone, sometimes you might be surprised. Also, you can talk to others to learn that they might have same situation than you. And understand what did they do about it.
Learn different languages for sure that will open new doors and provide you access to new culture and other perspectives.
Hope this helps. Good luck in your career!

There are several assessment surveys available to help you identify your strengths and the types of work that are best suited to leverage those strengths. At a young age you haven't yet been exposed to a wide variety of experiences that would help you identify your talents and qualities that would help you find the right job options that best suit you. Selecting your career based on the prestige or the money you could make is often not the best approach. Also, think back to the types of games or activities that you were drawn to as a child. I remember playing 'office' when I was a young girl.. now I'm a Managing Partner with a large technology company where my strengths are well suited to my career.

One of the best ways to seek out a career you would be good at or something you would like to do, is to perform a self assessment for choosing a career. You can choose the college route, trade school route, or go straight in to the workforce while focusing on where you would like to be. There are many resources on the internet and I would recommend creating a LinkedIn account, add your resume and skills and utilize any of the free services they offer. Another great resource is monster jobs, which offer assessments as well:

I have also used Indeed, but beware of the services that will charge you for assessments, unless you are willing to pay for them. But with so many free resources, a small investment of time to do research will reap dividends in the long run. I wish you well in finding your career.

Pay attention to what lights you up! What brings energy into your day and what depletes you? No job will always be what we love every day in and out, but if you can find a fit that brings you joy and where you feel you can bring your natural strengths and likes, you'll feel much more fulfillment and passion for what you do. Wishing you well!
