There are several signs that you may be stagnating in your job and could be in danger of having a difficult time finding a new job if you are laid off. Here are a few things to look out for - If you feel like you are not learning anything new or have hit a career plateau, this could be a sign that you are stagnating in your job. If you have not been meeting new people or expanding your professional network, you may be limiting your future job prospects. If you have not received a promotion or salary increase in a while, this could be a sign that you are not advancing in your career. If you are not feeling challenged or excited by your job, this could be a sign that you are not growing professionally. If you are not happy with your job and dread going to work, this could be a sign that you are stagnating and not feeling fulfilled in your role. If you feel like your contributions are not being recognized or you are not being given the opportunity to showcase your skills, this could limit your future job prospects. If you have not been given the opportunity to develop new skills, this could limit your future job prospects and make it difficult to find a new job if you are laid off. If you are experiencing one or more of these signs, it may be time to consider seeking out new opportunities, networking with other professionals in your field, or pursuing additional education or training to develop new skills and enhance your marketability.

I would add that is what you are doing seemingly replaceable by automation or overlapping with another role/task being done by someone else. If so and you know/feel you are ranked below your peers then that would be something of a bad sign.
As for being bored, is it that there's a lull in what you're doing or is what you're doing something you've gotten down to the point where it's no longer stimulating? And there's no change coming on the horizon? In my particular role the year always starts somewhat slowly but by the end of the year it's a bit of mayhem. But if it's true boredom, maybe also ask your manager for additional tasks/projects. Showing a little initiative to do different things will be something your manager would have in mind about you should something new come up. Never sit around waiting for something better, closed mouths do not get fed.

Hi - Some signs that show a person could be getting stagnate in their job are boredom, negative attitudes, not being happy, not wanting to work, and not wanting/willing to participate in daily work activities. It is best if a person can be self-aware of these signs and if take actions to correct them if found. Some actions could be talk to friends, family, human-resource contacts at work. Take training classes to spark interests of improvements and gaining confidence. Always find a way to stay "curious" in what you are doing. Be grateful. Stay positive.
