As an automotive engineer you're a well rounded and a complete technical guy. You understand everything about cars and other automobiles from electronics to suspension, chassis, engine and air conditioning systems.
The only con that I think is it gets boring sometimes and you get tired working in a plant, managing stuff, designing parts and quality inspection of each and every aspect of the product.
