Jon’s Answer
The electrical field is very diverse from construction to maintenance to residential work.
New construction is generally predictable. Again this can be diverse from building new homes/office space to running wires underground or on
poles. But for a week to maybe a month or two you would be on the same job site running wires, installing electrical devices, etc.
Maintenance in an office building or a factory can be varied. You never know what is going to break or how hard it is going to be to try and figure out what is wrong. But you generally go to the same location, at least for larger buildings.
Residential work can be rather varied. While the other two might have you going to different locations, residential is almost always going to a different house. You may be asked to repair something or install a new circuit for a light or air conditioner.
Also if you work for a tiny company or yourself you might do a mix of the above.
