Why loose sight?

Why when most people start reaching there goal they dont give up but loose the sight they had when they first went into the situation i feel its very important to keep that same sight and composure.

Karen’s Answer

Lives change in many ways and it's great if you can be flexible to adapt to those changes. Sometimes we believe the path we're on is best for us but might later discover there is another path to explore or enter. Good to keep your mind open to new possibilities.

After a couple of successful and enjoyable careers, I learned I could also do things I had never done before. Some of this was through volunteering but having a variety of experiences can be very rewarding.

With every good wish.

Paul’s Answer

Great question you've asked here. If you're referring to "sight" as focus, it's likely because when you set a goal, it represents a desired outcome based on your current perspective. As time goes on and you work towards that goal, various life and career events may cause the goal to evolve, even if it remains relevant. For instance, consider a goal to become healthier and lose 25 pounds. As you work towards this goal, you might be diagnosed with a condition that makes losing weight difficult, like diabetes. The goal is still important, but the focus shifts to prioritizing health, acknowledging that losing weight will be a challenge. The situation has changed.

Linda’s Answer

Well, the easy answer is that goals change. What your eighteen year old self thought they wanted might not be what your 34 year old wants. It could be once you get near your goal, you realize now that you know that career or field, it's not for you. It's not always about losing sight as much as gaining sight, experience, and knowing yourself better.
