Miguel’s Answer
Hey Jammie, let me share with you what I did! I explored various careers that matched my interests, which were mostly in the scientific field, including biology, chemistry, and math. Since I always dreamed of being a scientist as a kid, I made a list of careers related to these subjects. Then, I ranked them based on factors like expected income, how enjoyable they would be, the level of public exposure, and the amount of hands-on work involved. I chose my own criteria, and I recommend you do the same. Eventually, I picked a career and had a fantastic time with it. After 10 years, I made a change, and that was fun too! I simply repeated the process.
I agree to do something that is fun to you and look at your options in case you want to change.

Hi Jammie, I believe that in order to make the right decision you should inform yourself on these prospect career. A good way to do this is by investigating the course curricula for these careers in your university of choice. Make a good assessment on which courses you feel more attracted too. Also, it would also be a good idea to do some research on possible career paths for these 3 options and think about how these possibilities align with your long-term vision. Lastly, reach out to whoever you know that studied any of these 3 careers and ask them any doubts you might have!

Discover your passion! Choosing a major or a place to study might seem daunting, but the journey becomes clearer once you determine your goals, the areas you want to influence, and the life experiences you desire.
Start by exploring clubs, volunteering, internships, and even online communities that align with your interests.
Keep in mind that your choice isn't set in stone. Your career will evolve over time, and you can always change your direction. I transitioned from journalism to engineering at 29, and my previous experience greatly enriched me. My own mother changed careers at 57, proving it's never too late to embark on a new adventure!
It might sound like a cliché, but genuinely follow your heart and pursue what you love. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. The right career is the career you have interest.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favorite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you are interested in music, would you like to be a singer, musical actor, musician, music composer, music producer, etc.
If you are interested in maths, would you like to be an accountant, financial analyst, banker, maths teacher, engineer, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college
Having said that, you interest may change in your lifetime and you may change your career. This happens to many people.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
