Culinary Arts is a very cool career! You're on the dot. The most important thing you can do is gain skills and experience. Start small and develop your skills in cooking or whatever you want. In my field, that means small hobby projects that can help you solve IT problems. In Culinary, that could be starting off with cooking for yourself and eventually scaling it out to cooking multiple people like your family or friends! Once you get confident in your skills in the home, I'm sure a small scale restaurant or cafe would surely need extra help.
My first job out of high school was being a barista. I was not the best at the beginning but slowly my skills developed. By the end of college, I was very confident in my abilities to communicate with customers/coworkers, prepare drinks, and even recommend improvements for different coffee shops. There is no clear path for anything. Just get in there, feel excited and learn from every experience!

As a tech consultant, I may not specialize in the culinary field, but I believe that building strong relationships with people and teams is essential for a successful career. By improving your people skills, you can grow your network and learn how others think and work, all while keeping things friendly and approachable.
