My first job was something I found online and applied for. All of my work since then has been through referrals or through networking. I’d highly recommend that you joint clubs at school, participate in mentorship programs and do everything you can to form good relationships with your teachers.
You never know how the right connection can impact your life. You will also want a solid reference at some point and having options will serve you well.

Some tips would be to always follow proper procedures throughout school years, dive deeper into information (look beyond the surface), and get accustomed to a schedule. You want to be very meticulous in school when it comes to following direction, turning things in on time, and being on time for classes. You also want to be meticulous about how you answer questions and the things you choose to share while writing papers. All of this will build an atmosphere around you of being positive and ready for an opportunity, and could build your reputation if you choose to share your stuff with friends. Look beyond the surfaces of info and ask yourself questions like how could this benefit a company? And always stick to your schedule by doing things responsibly and caring for structure.

Certainly! Here are some tips to help you optimize your time and effort for both getting a job at an early age and successfully completing your school requirements:
1. **Prioritize Tasks:** Create a to-do list or schedule that outlines your school assignments, job search tasks, and any other commitments. Prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance.
2. **Time Management:** Use time management techniques such as the Pomodoro technique (work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break) to stay focused and productive.
3. **Set Goals:** Define clear goals for both your job search and your school work. Having specific goals can help you stay motivated and organized.
4. **Create a Routine:** Establish a daily routine that includes dedicated time for studying, job searching, and self-care. Consistency will help you manage your time effectively.
5. **Use Technology Wisely:** Utilize productivity apps and tools to stay organized and manage your tasks. Calendar apps, to-do list apps, and note-taking apps can be very helpful.
6. **Time Blocking:** Allocate specific blocks of time for different tasks. This can prevent multitasking and help you focus on one thing at a time.
7. **Limit Distractions:** Minimize distractions while studying or job searching. Put away your phone, close irrelevant tabs on your computer, and create a quiet workspace.
8. **Delegate and Seek Help:** Don't hesitate to delegate tasks when possible. If you're struggling with schoolwork, seek help from teachers or peers. If you're overwhelmed with job search tasks, consider seeking advice from mentors or career counselors.
9. **Stay Organized:** Keep your study materials, job application documents, and other important items organized. This will save you time when you need to find something quickly.
10. **Balance and Self-Care:** Remember to take breaks and engage in activities that relax and rejuvenate you. Burnout can hinder both your job search and school performance.
11. **Network:** Start building your professional network early. Attend career fairs, connect with professionals in your desired field, and consider joining relevant clubs or organizations.
12. **Seek Flexible Opportunities:** Look for job opportunities that offer flexibility in terms of hours and location. Some part-time or freelance roles might be more accommodating to your school schedule.
13. **Communicate:** Let your employers and teachers know about your commitments and schedule. Effective communication can lead to better understanding and support.
14. **Stay Positive:** Balancing school and work can be challenging, but maintaining a positive attitude will help you stay motivated and resilient.
Remember that finding the right balance between work and school is important for your overall well-being. It's okay to adjust your approach as you learn what works best for you.

When I was starting out, I focused on gaining practical skills through hands-on work. It's about showing dedication, being reliable, and learning as much as you can on the job. Balancing work and school takes discipline, but with a supportive environment and clear goals, you can succeed without unnecessary stress.
