Michel’s Answer

Not in Derm but in the medical school system. Honestly it can be discouraging looking at the amount of time it takes, but once you are in it flies quickly. The amount of material you learn and the confidence you develop keep you going. I started and was so nervous about not knowing anything, and as time has gone on I have started to become confident in answering questions.

So yes it is discouraging, but also humbling and amazing. If you love learning medicine is the field for you. You get to develop amazing skills and you get to help people and honestly that is why I am still here. It makes me happy to give back.

Love your questions if you have more let us know.
Thank you comment icon Hi Michel, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will definitely keep in mind how rewarding it is for sticking through the schooling! Maria
