What State is the best for searching for interior design jobs in the US?
I'm from Thailand and I'm looking for an interior design job (or related). I graduated bachelor's degree in interior architecture from Thailand and have 5 years experience of in work.
However, I plan to relocate to anywhere I have the best opportunity to find the job.

For anyone looking for new opportunities for a specific career, it starts with doing research. If you are international and looking to move to the States and seeking out the right state and/or city, and you are in a certain field, such as interior architecture, you can start by looking up interior design firms and/or architecture firms in larger cities in each state you might be interested in. For example -- New York City, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Boise, Atlanta, Tampa -- one could find companies in any of these cities that would be a good starting point for your career -- even if you have already worked and have experience, firms and companies in the U.S. may have some different processes and protocols that you would learn. Once you gain more experience, and meet new people who can influence your career, other opportunities will come along.
Thank you so much!

Absolutely, I'm with Teena on this one. Don't hesitate to put your application out there first, then think about where you'd like to be based. These days, many companies offer flexible work arrangements, including remote and hybrid options. Even if you're not in the same area, companies can easily conduct a Zoom interview. Just let them know you're open to relocating for the right opportunity and you're happy to talk more about it. The job market has really opened up since the pandemic, offering a wider range of opportunities everywhere. But remember, larger cities still tend to have a higher concentration of companies, hence more job openings. So go ahead, take that first step and apply!

I have some more questions. Now I live in Amarillo, Texas. All the applications I submitted checked in "I'm Planning to relocate". However, about 10% replied to me for interviews but I still don't get the jobs.
The question is; Does it matter that I do not live in the area where I applied for the application? And do you suggest I move to a big city first and continue looking for a job?
