Chelsy,
It looks like you may be aware of and interested in the many different career choices in health care. I'm a family medicine PA, and I feel like I was in your shoes many years ago, where I considered pretty much every career choice in health care, and at different times, wanted to do/become many of those, because I found several things I liked about many of the options. Ultimately though, I would encourage you to follow your passion by prioritising what you enjoy. Then, depending on your reflection, I would narrow down your choices and research those choices to figure out which heath care career would be most suitable for you. Each health profession should have at least one central, online source of information that would help your research. As an example, here's a list of steps to become a PA, courtesy of the American Academy of PAs (AAPA):

And what a board certified PA is and what PAs do, courtesy of the National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA):

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello Chelsy,
Embarking on a career in healthcare can be an incredibly fulfilling journey. The field is vast and diverse, offering a multitude of paths you can explore based on your interests. If you thrive on excitement and high stakes, roles such as an EMT, Paramedic, Flight Nurse, or ER Doctor could give you an adrenaline feel. (multi-asking)
On the other hand, if you're fueled by curiosity and innovation, you might find your niche in a pharmaceutical setting. Here, you could contribute to groundbreaking research, study new drugs, or compile data for studies.
Remember, passion for healthcare is key. Like any career, there will be challenging moments that may feel overwhelming. But don't forget, it's human to feel this way. When such moments arise, take a moment to breathe, reflect, and plan. Draw up a roadmap of your goals and the steps you need to take to achieve them.
Healthcare is often a team effort. You can always dip your toes in the water by volunteering or working in the field to see if it's a good fit for you. Just like teacher's aides gain experience before deciding to become teachers, you too can explore different roles before making a commitment.
You're not limited to one path. You might start as an EMT and then decide to further your education and become a Paramedic. The options are endless, and the choice is yours. Embrace the journey and remember, every step you take is a step towards making a difference.
