Alexus, I was a social worker for 7 years. Those who major in, it stay with it. Those who didin't major in it, such as myself, were ready to leave from day one. In large cities, turnover is high because most workers don't like the clientele, the issues they have, and the games they play. Also, it is not a high-paying position since it is usually a government position.
