Hello there! Isn't it amazing how many thrilling careers biology has to offer? Imagine yourself as a biologist, delving into the mysteries of life itself. Or, you could plunge into the world of genetics, decoding the enigmatic language of DNA. As an environmental scientist, you could play a key role in safeguarding our beautiful planet. Microbiologists, on the other hand, zoom in on the microscopic world that's teeming with life. If animals capture your heart, wildlife biology could be your calling. And of course, there's the noble path of medicine where you could touch lives as a doctor. The possibilities are as diverse and captivating as life itself! 🌿🧬🔬

Hello Jeremy,

Thanks for asking this question. Biology seems like a popular major for people that are also interested in medical school since it provides you with the foundations to succeed in a medical career as well. Biology majors also can enter the business field such as consulting by obtaining a MBA degree or a PhD, with a potential focus in the pharmaceutical fields. They can also load up on math or finance courses and enter financial fields as well. The options are limitless with an undergraduate degree in biology as you don't have to become a biologist.

Best of luck!

Thanks,

Johan

Hi Jeremy!

There are a ton of options for graduates with a Biology degree! You could be a science teacher, a researcher in a specific area you're passionate about, a marine biologist, a lab technician. Many of these would require some level of specialization but things like soil technician, water quality scientist, or nanotechnologist are all things we're going to need in this world as climate change continues to happen.

Wishing you luck in finding the perfect area to focus on!

Katherine’s Answer

I got a degree in Biology and now I'm a software engineer! The possibilities are endless - biology majors are not just about the general biology, rather how you learn to think. You learn to think using the scientific method, which not everyone defaults to, which gives you a different perspective on a lot of problems.
