Laurel, this may sound silly but the best way to do this is to find inner peace. Making money is great, but if you don’t love what you do 5)4! No money in the world is going to be worth it.
You need to find a job, career, company, product, something that already has some type of appeal to you. After you do that, it’s a lot easier to fill in the rest. You’ll have tough days but it’s important to remember tough days don’t last, tough people do.
For some this means college, for others trade school, and another group just works hard and gets promoted. All three are great options. As long as it’s something you will enjoy. Once misery sets in, then it’s down hill anyway.
Let’s assume you don’t like kids, becoming a teacher would be a bad idea. You will unintentionally cause harm by virtue of unhappiness. This could be applied to so many different areas. So I suggest you first and foremost, make peace with yourself and then search for something worth doing. And anything worth doing, is worth doing well. Thats just a fact.
Don’t rush this process. That’s not worth it either. You’ll get there in the time that you are supposed to get there. There is no short cut to success. The definition is different for everyone but there is no short cut. You got this.
Stay focused, stay committed and you’ll get what you deserve.
