Hello Roan,
When you've firmly decided on your career path and need further advice on training or education prerequisites, your student counselor or advisor is always there to guide you. They can provide insights on top-notch schools offering programs in your chosen field, or even training and vocational opportunities at other establishments. If these resources aren't readily available, don't hesitate to reach out to the HR department of a company you're keen on. Ask them about the qualities they seek in a potential candidate. If you're acquainted with someone already working in your desired field, they can also be a great source of information.
Remember, asking questions doesn't cost a thing, so don't hold back. Start networking, build your professional connections, and you'll soon discover the path that aligns perfectly with your ambitions.

Hello, Roan !
You can start learning about what a career in Prosthetics and Orthotics (because you can also do work for false teeth) is all about and I think you'll find it very interesting. There is a wealth of information about this career on the internet and if you take a visit to Prosthetics In Motion on West 35th Street 7th Floor, you could most likely speak with staff there. I would advise asking if you could shadow to see if it is something you'd really like to do. Ask a lot of questions and most likely they could be a great source for volunteer work or referrals as well as perhaps some part time work while you are in school. I left a link for you below to their website.
Another experience that may be useful in finding out if prosthetics is a career for you is to see what the patients say at Mount Sanai's Limb Loss Support Group. I have left a link for you below about this group which is talked about through the link. Scroll to the bottom of the page. You can go there in person to obtain the schedule for this group. It would be valuable to get insight from the patients' perspective, too.
As for education, it is recommended to first obtain a bachelors degree and then a masters degree. You can read about the steps to take and education for it at the link I've left below. So your first steps in knowing about a career choice is to read about it, visit the connected businesses and you can even watch some videos on You Tube that will give you a preview of what it is all about. I also suggest continuing to ask questions here at Career Village.
Best wishes moving forward with exploring careers !
