Jerome’s Answer

Take the classes you have completed and talk about how what you learned will apply to the job. Have a couple of references from teachers who can speak to who you are and your dependability.

I'd also recommend volunteering in the community. That gives you something to add to your resume and another potential reference.

Joanna Rose’s Answer

Hello Daella,

When applying for your first job, tailor your resume and cover letter to each position, highlighting relevant skills and experiences that align with the job description. Utilize your network by informing friends, family, and mentors that you’re looking for opportunities, as personal connections can often lead to job leads or recommendations. Prepare thoroughly for interviews by researching the company, practicing common interview questions, and formulating questions to ask the interviewer. Additionally, leverage internships, volunteer work, and academic projects to demonstrate your capabilities and work ethic. Lastly, maintain a positive and persistent attitude throughout the job search process, as determination and resilience are key to overcoming challenges and securing your first job.

Kaitlyn’s Answer

Think about what you enjoy doing and also never stop being curious. For many of us, our first job might not meet our expectations, but it's a valuable learning period. Plus, you acquire crucial experience that will be a great advantage for your future. Additionally, you gain important experience that will only benefit you moving forward. Next, I would apply through job sites, attend school career days as well as networking to see how you can get into the fields you want. Once you've done that, invest time in getting ready for the interview. Remember, never lose hope and believe in yourself - you can do it!

Akerke’s Answer

Hello Daella🤗
Finding a job is also work.  If you really want
to get the best job, you need to place the widest possible networks.  The more information you have, the more offers you have will be, the greater the chances of getting exactly what you need.
Finding your first employer isn't easy, but don't despair. First, you should only apply for entry-level positions level.  When a candidate without work experience expresses his desire work in a fairly serious position, the question arises about the adequacy of his requests. Secondly, outward youth is not an insurmountable obstacle. Try to look more mature: business suit, formal hairstyle and moderate, soft makeup will help you with this.  The main thing is not external, and internal, personal maturity is what employers look at. Try to clearly define and formulate your expectations for what position you want to apply for, how do you plan further development of your career.
Think about what personal qualities can help you succeed develop in the professional field, and indicate them in your resume.
The question is at what stage they tell you no.  If you called, interested in any vacancy, but you were rejected due to lack of experience, it means that the company is indeed considering for this position only professionals, nothing can be done about it.

Megan’s Answer

My biggest tip is that it helps who you know. Talk to people who can help you get a job. Your school guidance counselor might have a job board or suggestions.

Talk to local stores and places asking about job opportunities.

Talk with your family and friends to see if they know of any places hiring.

I hope this helps!
