Not only will they help you build a resume, but they can give you recommendations on career fairs to attend, and help you practice for interviews. My school also had an internal job board hosted by the career center, which helped get students' resumes to the top of employers' piles.
I also recommend asking friends and family to help you with your resume. Other people in the industry often know best what employers are looking for. Peers who have gone through the same process can help you optimize your resume.

A pro tip: once you've reached out to someone and you've scheduled time/date for a call or meet up - DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Research their background on LinkedIn and come prepared with personalized questions for them. For example, you could ask questions like how did you switch from job A to job B? What helped you make that change or why did you feel like a change was a good decision at that time?

Based on my experience, one of the best decision i did during my college years was to engage with my faculty advisor on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. I would suggest you to create the checklist of all career question you might have and schedule a one on one session with the faculty advisor and request them to answer any questions you might have. If you are early in your career this will help to navigate on which career path to choose and what are the targets by the time you graduate.
