hi..i'm lorri..i love design and drawing but i'm torn between the career path i want to choose

Hi Lorri! It sounds like you're passionate about design and drawing, but you're not sure which career path to choose. That's totally normal!
Here's something that might help: Think about what you enjoy most about design and drawing. Do you love the technical side of things, like using design software? Or do you prefer the freedom of putting your own creative ideas on paper?
Knowing which side you lean towards can help narrow down some great career options for you. The good news is, there are many fields that combine both design and drawing skills! Graphic design, illustration, animation, and product design are all possibilities.
To give you a better idea of what each of those careers is like, I can share an article with you that explains them in more detail.
Once you have a better sense of what interests you the most, informational interviews can be a great next step. Basically, you can talk to someone who works in the field you're interested in. They can tell you more about their day-to-day work and see if it seems like a good fit for you.

Below are my suggestions :
1. There are plenty of careers related design and drawing, e.g. graphics design, fashion design, web designer, animator, interior designer, advertising designer, etc. you can find out more online.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges

You may be able to do both. Take your time and check out Full Sail University. Write down what you like about both designing and drawing and, then write down what you don’t like about both. Pros and Cons but trust me in whatever you do there will be Pros and Cons. Then, determine how you can mix the two to fit your needs and how it benefits others needs to solve a problem. The good thing is that drawing and design go hand and hand.
You will do great!

I love that you are super creative and are wanting to use that for your career. I just wanted to give a warning: Obviously there are exceptions but generally, making your hobby your job all but insures that it will eventually stop being your hobby.
What I recommend is continue practicing your drawing while looking into what design aspects that interests you enough to keep your attention but not something you want to do in your free time, if that makes sense. There are a lot of different designing avenues such as for graphic, interior, product, art, fashion, etc.

It's awesome to know that you love designing and drawing, but you say that you are torn between the two. I cannot see that you should be torn between drawing and designing because they are both the same. Drawing is the physical action of designing. Of course you can add online designing skills to your manual drawing skills, but there is no real conflict here with your design and drawing interest. Is there another career interest that you are thinking about ?
There are also several career paths that you can take for this, too. The more you are involved in social and community art groups and clubs at school, your career path will become evident to you eventually. What paths are you considering ? My first suggestion would be to consider college for a Bachelors Degree in Art or Design. It is never too early to look into colleges that have a diversified art and design program. First explore the colleges near you to see if any have a program that you like. Another good way to discover a college choice is to register at Linked In and follow the colleges near you that you choose. Posts on their feed can give you a sense of the happenings at the college. Linked In can also be helpful to show you which careers are options for you with design and drawing skills.
You don't have only two options for how you may take this, rather many. You can be a designer in the fields of fashion, advertising, architecture, industrial, animation, mobility and vehicle design, product design, interior design, web design and many more. I have left an article link for you below to read more about a design career so that you can make a choice.
If you have already chosen two possible career preparation plans or two niches in design, read more about those careers and give it some time. Eventually it will become clear to you which plan you'll want to take. You don't have to choose this right now if you are still in high school although it will help to know before you apply to colleges or design schools.
It is difficult to choose when it is only a thought, so now would be the best time to start participating in getting experience that will help you make a decision. You also have some options for your preparation for your education. You can go to in-person college for a Bachelors Degree in Design.
