What are good culinary schools to apply for, for college?
I have 2 years plus a possible gap year to decide on a college but I need one that has culinary and business.

Culinary Institute of America is the best Culinary and most prestigious in the USA. In this day and age, not sure its worth the incredible investment. As a graduate from way back in the day it was incredibly beneficial. Many a job were listed back in the day that said "CIA Graduate Only", today, not so much. Worked with lots of incredible chef's over the years, and I must say, the best Chef I ever worked for was from "School of Hard Knocks" way back in the day, he was classically trained in NJ and rose through hotel business. I worked with him in St. Louis. Hospitality Degree more beneficial these days than Chef Degree, and even with Chef degree, your not a Chef until your a Chef.

You have chosen a very exciting career interest and it's great that you have time to review and explore different schools for Culinary. You will most likely need training at a culinary school for what you'd like to do. Most Culinary Schools do teach the Business end of it as part of their culinary program, so it will be just a matter of you finding a school that you would like to attend.
You will first have to decide which Degree you would want to obtain. For Culinary, you can opt for an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts. You can go for a shorter length of time for a Diploma or Certificate which teaches one specialty like cooking or baking and is less than one year's duration. You can also do this online.
My advice for you would be to consider obtaining a Bachelors Degree, especially if you want to go into the business end. This would be a four year study. You need to choose your college as well as the college path you want to take. It will be a lot of reading at websites but it's best to get the information straight from the school. You'll need to carefully explore your options.
One of the short paths is at Pinellas Technical College for Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality. I left a link for their college program below. I would recommend one of the prime paths for this and that is to consider enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America if you are very serious about an outstanding career in this field. They offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees. They prepare leaders and offer paths in Executive Chef, Food and beverage management, Food writing, Media and public relations, Research and education, Hotel management and Restaurant ownership. I have left the link to their website below. You would have exceptional networking experiences while attending this school in Hyde Park, NY.
Palm Beach State College, which also has a campus in Tampa, offers an Associates degree in Culinary Arts for which you would study culinary skills, food science and industry operations.
Take it a step at a time. Decide if you want to stay in state or relocate for this. Then decide how far you want to take the education. Having those initial decisions made, you can then do the necessary exploring for exactly what you want to do. No one can select a school for you. It takes reading websites after you have determined exactly how you want to do this.

I would look at the University of Nevada, great culinary program. Of course Johnston & Whales in Rhode Island
