How to make sure you stand out during an interview?

How do you make sure you and your resume stand out more than the others, aside from experience, what can I say/do during the interview that will put be ahead of other candidates?

Be INTENTIONAL, THOUGHTFUL, AND CURIOUS. Don't enter an interview focused on trying to say what the interviewer wants to hear. Try to enter the interview trying to understand the role and the responsibilities and how it applies to your experience. Be confident but humble - a great way to stand out is to be open about what you think you'll need to learn (but show that you are willing). It shows the interviewer that you thinking about the role deeply, not just trying to get past the interview.

You can stand out in an interview by being your authentic self, trying to connect with the person interviewing and showing your thoughtfulness and ambition for the position through things you’ve researched/ remembered that they wouldn’t have expected you to.

One of the best things you can do in an interview is active listening. Keep track of what your interviewers are telling you and work that into your responses. If they tell you that they're looking for X, Y, Z, then make sure your answers address those points. If they tell you that their team prioritizes X or is currently focused on doing Y, give a response that makes the connection between your experiences and X, or how you've developed the skills to address Y. Specific, tailored examples will help you stand out more than generic ones!
