Hi Madison,
I’m not sure what your question is about, specifically.
I’ll try to give you a useful advice, regardless.
As a fashion industry professional of many years, I’ve met many talented artists who find a steady and lucrative employment in the Design Rooms of fashion companies.
For example, many Creative Directors (or the owners) of fashion labels employ designers who create fabric prints, embroideries, open work lace textures for their runway collections and commercial lines.
These ‘associate designers’ are working right at the intersection of art and fashion. If you have a good hand at drawing, painting, sculpture, creating 2D or 3D images in any form, this sort of career may be a good path for you.
On the other hand, the knits and sweater designers are also in high demand. Their job is to create clothing that’s sculpted, textured, and colored in a really artful way, by hand or machine knitting techniques. Studying knitting processes and their commercial applications might be of interest to you.
There’s also jewelry design, which is not the area of my own expertise but might be a good match for your talents.
I hope these thoughts help you orient yourself better in the vast world of fashion.
All the best!
