Hi Dani, here are few pointers based on my personal experience going back to my student days when I was trying to figure out how to get into engineering. I hope you find these useful.
I didn't know why, but I was simply interested in pursuing engineering course. I guess, it was the status and respect an engineer can command in my immediate community and social circle which motivated me to want to go for it. This is when I was in my high school. I came to know that one needs to pursue Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (PCM) subjects at school in order to be eligible for the admission to engineering courses. So, to answer your question, you will need to first check the admission criteria of the institutes which offer Civil engineering courses.
I am sure you would have already known above or find it out from Google. But I would like you to first ask a self question - Why do I want to get into Civil engineering or for that matter any other engineering streams? Answer to this question is important because you are going to commit 4-5 years of UG program and then many more years of your life assuming you will get into a career relating to Civil engineering.
For how to get into the Civil engineering, listing out few actions below
Get into studies of PCM subjects to be eligible for the engineering courses.
Getting into good institute can be very competitive. So, it might be worth preparing for aptitude tests like SAT and it's advance version specific to science and mathematics
Seek guidance from seniors students who have already got into engineering or preparing to get into it.
