A professional musician my whole life, I decided a while back I needed to be sure of having a way to make good income when music wasn't paying the bills - I got a job at a software company helping do spread sheets to track deals, and had a great mentor in the legal department who taught me how contracts worked. I found it fascinating, kept learning, and am now a Sr. Contracts Manager, negotiating high level legal deals with an emphasis on US and international privacy laws.
