I am interested in being a film director, but I do not know if this is something I should seriously pursue. I love watching movies and documentaries on how movies are made, but I don't know if I could actually make it in the film production world. I don't want to chase an unrealistic dream.

I want to understand what they do daily, so I can be prepared and practice any skills I need.

I just want to know the basics, for example what high school courses could help and how long would I spend in college.

I have been in kind of a writers block and I feel like all my short stories kinda repeat and I feel like they get boring. I want to be a writer and make short stories.

Is there anything specific I need to know about this field?

I want to maybe go into something forensics but I want to know the details about college.

I just wanted to know what I am supposed to learn and how ling this website has been running out of curiosity
