Finding online jobs at 14 can be tough due to age limits and child labor laws. However, your skills in math, English, and social media are valuable! Here's what you can do:
Considerations:
- **Age Limits:** Most online jobs require you to be at least 16.
- **Getting Paid:** Set up a bank account or use your parent's account.
- **Time Management:** School is a priority. Balance work with studies.
- **Safety:** Protect your personal info. Always involve a parent or guardian.
Job Ideas:
- **Tutoring (with parental help):**
- Use your math and English skills to tutor younger kids locally or online.
- Assist students with homework.
- **Social Media Management (with parental help):**
- Help small businesses or creators manage social media by creating posts and responding to comments.
- Assist with your parents' business social media if applicable.
- **Content Creation (with parental help):**
- Create videos, write, or design graphics to build an online presence.
- Start a YouTube channel or blog. Earnings come with time and effort.
- **Online Surveys and Micro-Tasks (with parental help):**
- Complete small tasks like surveys for a bit of extra money.
- Research websites carefully and avoid anything suspicious.
- **Selling Creations (with parental help):**
- Sell crafts like drawings or bracelets online with your parents' help.
- Use platforms like Etsy, with a parent setting up the account.
Where to Start:
- **Talk to Parents:** They might know of local opportunities.
- **School:** Ask teachers or counselors about tutoring or local job options.
- **Local Businesses:** Some might need online help, even in a small town.
- **Online Platforms:** Look for tutoring or freelance sites, involving your parents.
Important Tips:
- Always include your parents in online job searches.
- Be careful with personal information.
- Focus on your education and health first.

At 14, your options for online jobs are somewhat limited, but there are still plenty of opportunities! Since you're good at math, English, and social media, here are some ideas:
Jobs You Can Do at 14
1. Freelance Writing or Blogging – Websites like Medium or Vocal.Media allow you to write and earn from views. You can also try Fiverr for small writing gigs.
2. Tutoring – Teach younger kids math or English on platforms like Superprof, Wyzant, or Studypool (some may require parental consent).
3. Social Media Management – Help small businesses or individuals with their Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook content. You can offer services on Fiverr or Upwork (with parental approval).
4. Transcription or Captioning – Convert audio into text on sites like Rev (some platforms require you to be 18, but you can check alternatives).
5. Selling Digital Products – If you can design, create printables, templates, or study guides and sell them on Etsy or Gumroad.
6. Gaming & Streaming – If you enjoy gaming, you can stream on Twitch or upload YouTube videos and monetize them over time.
7. Taking Surveys & Testing Websites – Sites like Swagbucks and UserTesting offer small earnings for giving feedback.
8. Voice Acting – If you have a good voice, try Voices.com or Casting Call Club for voice-over gigs.

If you're 14 and looking for an online job, there are several options based on your skills in math, English, and social media. You could try tutoring younger students in math or English through platforms like Wyzant or Preply (though some require you to be 18, so parental supervision might be needed).
For social media, you can offer services like managing pages, creating simple content, or engaging with followers for small businesses. Platforms like Fiverr and Upwork allow gig-based work, but you'll need a parent's account to sign up.
While you may not need AI Interview Preparation now, building strong communication skills early can help you in the future. Practicing with AI tools can prepare you for interviews when you apply for internships or part-time jobs later on. Keep learning and gaining experience—it’ll pay off when you're ready for bigger opportunities!
Have you considered any of these options? Let me know if you need more suggestions! 😊

Hello, Lisa !
In your country of Norway, you are permitted to start working at the age of 13, but for limited hours and doing light work. No one would be able to tell you what job you can get, you'd have to apply for jobs you qualify for. You can spend a great deal of time applying for work you haven't done before, even for online jobs which require qualifications and experience but I do not suggest doing that because your time can be better spent. You'd have to limit how many hours you can work, also, according to labor laws which you should first find out about before applying for work. Things such as online surveys are not what they seem to be and can be very tedious, boring and fruitless. This is why I would redirect you to consider, especially if you have no experience, to a job you can work in person at a place.
Your town of Bardufoss, Troms Norway has businesses and attractions that you can apply to for a part time job. You can try for entry jobs at Bardufoss Airport, the street General Fleischers Veg with their shops, Local Flora and Forestry for light work, at the Bardufoss Air Station museum, the indoor water park Polarbadet, Midt-Troms Museum, Fossmo Open-Air Museum, Destination Snowman as well as Up in the Arctic for hotel work, and Polar Park Arctic Wildlife Centre. You should also apply to one of the supermarkets as that is always an awesome first job. Also try applying at Vervet Bakery in nearby Troms. I do not advise attempting to apply for or working online for your first job. You will not need to get a work permit in order to start working in your country.
Meet with your guidance counselor at your school and express that you are looking for a job. Your school also has selected teachers (they have extra and special training) that act as guidance counselors, too, and you can meet with them to see if they know of a job that would be fitting for you.
In conclusion, you can get a job at these mentioned places and also do anything you're comfortable with for neighbors and friends doing childcare or housecleaning or even yard work. I highly advise not starting out online to work, but you will have to make that decision yourself.
I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !
