Make a schedule and plan out your day, including classes, homework, extracurricular activities, and free time. Prioritize tasks and focus on the most important tasks first and tackle them during your most productive hours. Take breaks and schedule short breaks between tasks to rest your mind and avoid burnout. Eliminate distractions and find a quiet study space, turn off your phone, and avoid social media during study time. Stay organized and use a planner or calendar to keep track of deadlines and upcoming assignments.

Great question!
The advice I would give you is to first write out your daily, weekly, and monthly schedule for school, your chores, and then your part-time job. The goal is to prioritize your work throughout the day so that you do not get too overwhelmed! For example, if you only go to your part-time job on Mondays and Fridays, schedule a time after school to do home work and daily chores that help to keep your areas of responsibility neat and tidy so. The schedule a time to do deep cleaning at the discretion of your parents' pre-determined schedule. That's just a sample of how you can manage your responsibilities and allows you to see in real-time where you have free-time and where your time is set for responsibilities!
Good luck and post results if you can!

Hi Allison!
Given you have your studies, job and other home-related responsibilities, I would suggest don't be upset when you find no time for social life. I understand when you say you want to have fun, but you also have to realize that having fun - such as going out with friends, partying or joining sports clubs - can drain a good portion of your energy that you could have used for what you prioritize. Now, if you prioritize few evenings of having fun, then it's great. However, keep in mind that it's an opportunity cost; you could have used that time for studying etc. It all comes down to what you prioritize at any given point in time.
Also, high school can be hectic as it is, and with you doing a job, I would suggest you not to feel downhearted if you miss out a bit on social life. Look at the positive side; you are earning money and that indicates a certain level of maturity and independence.
Good luck!

Hi Allison,
There are great responses already in terms of establishing priorities and visual calendar. I'd also suggest you make sure that all the people you are dealing with, teachers, part-time job employer and parents, are all aware of everything you are trying to balance out. Inevitably there will be some conflicts that you will need to sort with them and having the background will equip them to better help you.
It is very complex indeed, so make sure you do have some time allocated for yourself.
Hope that helps. Best of luck!

Hi Allison!
Awesome question, I totally know where you're coming from!
What always helped me was to make a list the night before for the next day.
I would put things I definitely wanted to accomplish that day, things that would be due, things I would "hope" to get around to.
Calendars always helped, just so I could visually "see" everything I had going on, b/c like you I also had a job & other commitments, plus always allow for time w/ friends & to unwind (you will never get that back)!
Don't overwhelm yourself & just know that you're dojng the best you can 😊.
It will all work out as it should.
