Can we find any paid or unpaid internships for students who lack the eligibility to work in the US?
I lack an EAD to work, but I am very interested to work partime.

First, I am not a lawyer, so do not take what I say as legal advice.
I think by definition, if you lack an EAD, you cannot be paid to work, as an intern or otherwise.
If you are looking for experience, consider volunteering. Libraries, animal shelters, museums, hospitals, the Red Cross...plenty of places look for volunteers to help them.
It depends on what you are looking to accomplish. Volunteering give you experience similar to working - having a schedule, dealing with the public, working with others, etc. If you are looking to make money, then obviously it won't help.

The answer is yes! Your student visa, F-1, allows you to apply for a paid internship for international students. Your university will provide the information about internships available, hours per week you can work, on campus/ off campus requirements, as well as additional forms. Make sure you talk to your advisor ahead of time and set a plan of action early freshman year
