Evelyn’s Answer

Good afternoon, Kendra. As far as being stressed or bored is concerned, there are many things that can and will stress us. For example, just getting to work on time is a stressor all by itself! Also, singing helps too; sing songs that are uplifting and positive. If you're into getting in shape, do yoga, ride a bike, or go work out at the local gym. Find out if the company you work for has a gym or at least pays for one. And if you're bored, find things that need to get done, and don't wait for the employer to tell you to do this or that! We all get bored from time to time, but I find it easier when I'm engaged in something, and when I realize it, I have five minutes left before I'm out the door. If you're into classical music, classical music has the tendency to relax you.

Evelyn recommends the following next steps:

Sing positive song
Exercise

Mark’s Answer

Stress is inherent in any part of the medical field, where there are instances where people are depending on your expertise to make informed decisions about treatment of diseases. With the benefit of experience, one learns to expect these situations and even derive satisfaction from knowing that you've contributed to the well being of patients and gained the respect and trust of providers who will want you to participate in patient care in the future. That is what kept me in it for 46 years, because it certainly wasn't the money!

Diana’s Answer

Hi there,
If I am get stressed or bored in my job? Well, many times.

Okay, when I am getting stressed maybe because I have many things to do, I start to write everything. I mean I work in a to-do list. Writing everything I need to do, the most important, the less important, the small and big projects. Once I do that, I start classifying them with numbers so I can start for example with the small simple ones and then go for the important or big jobs. The problem when we are stressed is that we lose our focus. If the stress catch you, go and play, listen to music, do something else and then come back to what you were doing and you will see you will see things differently.

When you are passionate about what you do you don't get bored. Look for new things to do that will help to go up in your career. You can do things that are not related to your job as well just to clear your mind. And at the end if you feel you get bored, explore new jobs, new things. Maybe there is something else for you you haven't tried yet.
