When will I be able to be better than Gordon Ramsey?

I want to be a gourmet chief and a baker, because it was my dad's dream to have his own restaurant and after he passed I will do his dream. But my personal dream is to be better than Gordon Ramsey!!

Ismael’s Answer

It will take a lot of dedication. You can enroll in a culinary school and gain experience afterwards.
If possible you can try registering for cooking shows and competitions. They really push you to the limit and they give you exposure.

Robert’s Answer

Claire,

If you want to be better than chef Ramsey or any chef, study learn as much as you can. develop a cooking style of your own. market yourself, watch for chefs on Facebook ask them how they marketed themselves, "stay away from Bradley miller, he is a joke".
anyways, being better than someone is not always the choice, your choice is to be the best chef, pastry chef in your area, then you need to study, take culinary classes, spend the time that you normally would when playing video games in watching you tube videos about cooking. Harvard has some great videos where they bring a chef into their physics lab and talk about culinary science.
If you want to know more about anything in culinary its best to read about culinary science, so you can understand things like why an egg coagulates in certain parts of a brownie more than others.
