Questions regarding about Navy Corpsmen/Corpsmen who served with USMC
Hello, my name is Nathan D and I'm a high school student looking to contact with both Corpsmen in service or discharged from their duties. I have 10 questions I would like to ask if someone from this occupation comes by this.
1) What rank and position did you or currently hold?
2) What education have you undergone before your enlistment?
3) Have you worked in any previous occupations before your enlistment?
4) Have you completed college? Did you have a degree when you enlisted?
5) Did you serve alongside the USMC or did you stick with being alongside the Navy?
6) What programs or training had you undergone in order to become a Corpsman?
7) Where were you deployed during your service?
8) Have you been in a tour of duty?
9) What services do you offer as a Corpsman to other service men?
10) How long did you serve for?

2) What education have you undergone before your enlistment? I had two years of college at the time of my enlistment.
3) Have you worked in any previous occupations before your enlistment? I worked retail and fast food services.
4) Have you completed college? Did you have a degree when you enlisted? I have completed 2 degrees and no degrees at enlistment.
5) Did you serve alongside the USMC or did you stick with being alongside the Navy? I worked at a clinic on a Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe, HI. We cared for Marines, among others. I did a training course that qualified me to serve with the Marines as their Corpsman, but was never stationed with them.
6) What programs or training had you undergone in order to become a Corpsman? Hospital Corps School, Field Medical Service School, and Preventive Medicine Technician school (a specialty). I received this training in 1997.
7) Where were you deployed during your service? I was deployed twice in my Navy career, but as a Nurse Corps Officer. I was stationed on a ship as a corpsman (my first duty station). We did short evolutions or drills at sea.
8) Have you been in a tour of duty? I served for 22+ years so I had many tours of duty.
9) What services do you offer as a Corpsman to other service men? Basic medical first aid. There are many areas to specialize in as you progress in time and rank.
10) How long did you serve for? 22+ years!

1) What rank and position did you or currently hold?
I'm still on active duty and right now I am an HM2 but now serving as a recruiter in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
2) What education have you undergone before your enlistment?
Just K-12 public schools and a few college courses.
3) Have you worked in any previous occupations before your enlistment?
I worked in a factory making picture frames.
4) Have you completed college? Did you have a degree when you enlisted?
I did not have a degree before the Navy. I have earned my Master's in Health Administration on 3/6/2023.
5) Did you serve alongside the USMC or did you stick with being alongside the Navy?
USMC! I have served with 12TH Marines and 3d Landing Support Battalion, both in Okinawa Japan for a total of 4yrs.
6) What programs or training had you undergone in order to become a Corpsman?
I attended the Medical Education Training Campus in San Antonio TX, Field Medical Training Battalion-East at Camp Johnson in NC, and I have been in several training courses to maintain my skills as a Corpsman such as: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Hospital Corpsman Skills-Basic, and Sickcall Screeners.
7) Where were you deployed during your service?
I have deployed to Thailand, Australia, Korea, the Philippines, and mainland Japan.
8) Have you been in a tour of duty?
Norfolk VA, Okinawa, San Diego CA, Okinawa (again), Great Lakes IL, and Greenfield WI.
9) What services do you offer as a Corpsman to other servicemen?
As a Corpsman and a leader, I always offer career coaching and general advice to my juniors to support their goals and aspirations in and outside of the Navy.
10) How long did you serve for?
