Are there any things I should pursue before working in a restaurant as a chef?
I am a student at Job Corps and I was wondering what extra classes/knowledge should I have before searching for a job. What good advice do you have about searching for a job?

It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the restaurant you'll be working at. Pick a restaurant that is close to your personality and your culture. Become as good of a chef as you can become, then find a restaurant that matches you. Good restaurants are like tiny communities and they all have their distinctive personalities. Go by there, check it out. If it is not a good fit, do not apply. Make sure the BOH Manager is a good fit too.
