Hello Tantat!

Firstly: Welcome to the USA! I hope you adjust well.

People in the US use the Imperial system, or feet and inches.

The US is... pretty much the top country that really uses it everywhere. (Myanmar, Liberia, and the UK use imperial, but they use the metric system equally, or sometimes more often than imperial).

Here's a guide to the Imperial system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7x-RGfd0Yk

To follow current design trends in America, I recommend subscribing to design articles:

- Vogue within the Living & Homes section: https://www.vogue.com/living/homes
- ASID News: https://www.asid.org/news
- Architectural Digest: https://www.architecturaldigest.com/adpro/sourcebook | https://www.architecturaldigest.com/topic/interior-design

Enjoy exploring interior design trends in the US! :)

Hi Tantat,
One of the big differences that impacts design work is paper size. The US (and Canada) uses lettersize, legal, and tabloid instead of A1, A2, A4, etc. Here is a useful link that shows the sizes in inches (with metric equivalents to help you).

All the best!
