The biggest thing you can do today is to keep asking yourself why. As an architect growing out of the recession, I have seen a lot of designers lose their way because commitment to success flies in the face of commute, food and utilities. If you notice that your reason is changing, shift or challenge expectations to accommodate your current situation.
Success is never instant. Be patient with yourself and compassionate with progress, no matter how small, and promise yourself that success is always within reach.

You have gotten the first thing right - by realizing that you love architecture. The second most important thing to do is to "step on the shoes of giants" - that is follow keenly on the success stories of trailblazers in architecture. Set up your personal timetable and devote conscious hours to study. Get your hands on the tools as it is more of practical than theory. Very importantly, remind yourself that you are the best at everything you set to do
