How can I find challenging academic classes outside of school?
I'm only just going into HS and really want to start taking AP classes in a year or two, but my school only offers a few starting in 11th grade, and there are no honors classes. This last year wasn't very challenging for me and I'm anxious to really push myself. I'm really interested in math, finance, and psychology as career umbrellas, so to speak. What are some other routes I can take, outside of school? Do online courses actually work? How do I find good ones? Thank you!
Should I take AP Biology or Honors Anatomy/Physiology HS Junior Year?
I've already discussed with my counselor on what classes I will be taking next year as a Junior. I'm taking two APs for sure, which are AP English Language and AP US History. However, I'm determined to do another AP which is AP Biology. I don't know whether I should take AP Biology or Honors Anatomy or maybe do both! The problem is I have to replace one class, and I thought of replacing my art class but I still need the one-year requirement for visual and performing arts to get into a 4-year college. Right now, my counselor has placed me to be in Honors Anatomy next year. I haven't talked to her yet about changing my schedule if possible, but I will very soon. Because I want to major in medicine hopefully in college, AP Biology would help me later on and I plan on taking AP Chemistry in my Senior year. #uci #highschool #advancedplacement #aps
