What are my chances on getting into NYU and how can I increase them?
I am a junior in Highschool and I currently have a 3.8 weighted GPA. By this summer I should have at least a 30 superscore ACT. 100 community service hours but maybe closer to 200. I would plan on majoring in mechanical engineering and Asian Studies so I have many STEM and language extracurriculars. I have leadership positions and I'm active in my community. I'm a junior so I don't have to write my essay just yet but I think the idea I have for it is pretty good. By my senior year I will have 10-12 APs and 5-7 honors. I'll have 4 years plus AP Spanish credit and 2 years of Chinese. I have research hours and awards in competitions.

Which major is better for the study of Asian Languages???
Hello, I am currently thinking about what I am going to be majoring in. I would like to be able to learn Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, etc.). I have done some research and I see there are so many options to choose from. I could major in Korean, Japanese, Asian Studies, or Linguistics. I am not sure which to choose from. I found two colleges that offer these courses, Ohio State University and Pomona College. (By the way, I mostly want to learn Korean, and I am also interested in studying abroad.)

What jobs are available to a student with an Asian Studies BA?
I majored in Asian Studies in college and am graduating soon. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the opportunities out there and am having a hard time narrowing down what I'd like to do. I am interested in religion and have traveled a bit to South Asia. Does anyone have any advice on what to focus in on? #asianstudies #religion #travel
