What was the determining factor that directed you toward a life pursuing the arts? And how do you continue to do so between projects?

I'm in 8th grade and I'm really interested in becoming an actor, I have been for a couple years now but I don't know what to do to start, I don't know if I need to have money, if I need to do certain stuff first, I just need tips on what to do.

I have choreogrpahed on myself and others in the past, but I how do I make a career in this. I have heard from different people that you have to become a performer before becoming a choreographer. To what extent is that true? I do not know how much that is in the cards for me.
