What advice can you give about setting up a portfolio specifically tailored for the animation industry??

I want to apply for internships or entry-level jobs in animation or visual development but I'm not sure about building a portfolio or how to begin.

How long would it take to hone your drawing skills?

Hi! I'm a female 16-year-old 11th grader, and I have a big interest in character/concept designing for cartoons/videogames. How long does it usually take to master and be confident in drawing human figures and landscapes? And how difficult is it to create a new and creative concept? What personally motivates you to draw? Thank you for your time. #character-design #concept-design #cartoons #video-games #drawing #art

How do I create my first Portfolio?

Hello, I wanted to know what should be included in my first portfolio? More specifically a portfolio for my artwork. I am not positive on a specific Job to build my portfolio around yet but some of the career paths that I am interested in relate to concept art for video games/movies, storyboards or doing something with graphic design such as illustrations. Appreciate any advice you can provide for me. #career #career-choice #artist #career-advice #portfolio-management #portfolio #concept-design #artist-portfolio #career-details #job-application

What does it take to be a concept artist?

I want to be a designer. I always have wanted to be a designer of some sort, but I'm not entirely sure for what yet. I'd like to be a concept artist, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be a good enough artist to become one. What are the biggest things a concept artist should need to be able to do? Do I need to learn many different styles, or can I have just one style? If I am going to be a concept artist for video games, do I need to know coding? Do I need to know how to draw animal, humans and scenery, or can I just focus on one specific thing? Are there any courses to help walk me through the steps of becoming a concept artist; learning anatomy, designing, etc.? Thanks to all! #art #game-design #concept-design

How to Narrow Down Choices?

I love doing everything, writing, singing, golfing, drawing, acting, designing (mostly characters), playing video games. But I want to do *everything*. Voice acting, pro golfing, novelist, concept artist. I'm having trouble narrowing down my loves and making them into careers and getting the options to just three things. I sometimes have it planned, but then I turn right around and start wanting to choose something else instead. Is there some way to do everything, or a great way to narrow down my choices? #writing #acting #singing #concept-design #golfing
