How did people with social anxiety get through college?
I have two months left of high school and I'm afraid of what life away from home will be like. I want to go to college but being on my own is different and might be challenging for me because of my social anxiety. I've spent my entire high school years to myself and I never really spoke to people unless it was a question or about classwork. I've made some acquaintances, but I've always lost touch with them over a few months. I'm terrified of talking to others and always avoid presentations or answering questions in class. How did other people like me get through college and was it worth it coming out of your shell?

What jobs are best for someone with social anxiety?
I currently work in daycare and have been for about a year. I am looking to switch careers but dealing with “customers” seems intimidating. I would like an easy start job and don’t mind learning as I go, but I feel retail or adjacent is not a comfortable environment for me. I was curious if anyone else works a job that they feel is fulfilling while dealing with social anxiety.

What is a good first job for somebody who struggles with social anxiety and has trouble interacting with strangers??
I'm the person described and I don't know what my first job should be or where to find it. A lot of the typical first time jobs my peers have taken revolve around customer service and involve working with a lot of people; a skill that I'm still developing. I don't know what kind of job I could apply for without feeling like I'm diving head first into an area that causes me immense distress, but at the same time I need this experience to grow. Ideally I'm looking for something that isn't too stressful or demanding. Light interaction with strangers is fine, like an occasional question from them, but nothing where I need to work with a lot of people at a time like a cashier, waiter, etc.
