I went to college not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, and because I was passionate about lacrosse - a sport I started playing at Olympia High School (Class of 2005), I decided to follow the family tradition of becoming a teacher.
I taught AP World History and AP Human Geography in Orange County Public Schools for 8 years at Colonial, Ocoee, and Dr. Phillips High Schools.
After 8 years in 2018, I left teaching to enter the private workforce at a company called CentralSquare Technologies as an Instructional Designer and have worked my way up to my current role as a Program Manager of Business Operations at Salesforce.
I wish that I had known the opportunities the business world could provide when I was in high school, rather than just following what I knew from my families careers and getting into teaching. It was very rewarding, but I have definitely now found my passion.
