I'm a junior in high school, so college is right around the corner for me. I want my parents to be able to save money, by being able to apply for as many scholarships as possible, but whenever I begin my search, I find myself lost, unable to navigate through the many different scholarships offered.

I know that civil engineering is just a basic overview of most types of engineering, but i don't know if getting a degree in just generic civil engineering is better than a degree in a specific area of civil engineering. #civil-engineering

I would like to know this question because i hope to pursue a career in structural engineering, but i don't just want to be stuck in an office all day. I would like to get some hands on experience with the projects i am working on. #construction #structural-engineering
